The West Midlands Screen Bureau was set up to help build a diverse, dynamic and sustainable Creative Screen Sector, including TV, games, film, video and emerging forms, including VR and AR. It was funded by the BFI, West Midlands Combined Authority and Birmingham City Council and was always envisaged as a limited time project. Having consulted extensively with industry, commissioned a series of valuable reports and comprehensively mapped the regional screen businesses to facilitate collaboration and investment the WMSB is now winding down. The new screen industry body announced by West Midlands Mayor Andy Street will be responsible for continuing to build momentum in these burgeoning sectors.
Thank you to everyone for your help over these past few years.
